Cauliflower batter fry

It is a side dish or an evening treat made of cauliflower. Because of its fine taste, it can be served on a special occasion. It can be known as Gobi 65.
Preparation Time : 10 mins

Marination Time :30 mins - 1hr Soaking Time :

Cooking Time : 20-30 mins

Serves : 5-6

Ingredients:
  • Cauliflower - 1 small or 500g
  • Cooking oil - 350ml for frying

​Ingredients for the marinade:

  • Plain (Maida) flour - 2 tblsp
  • Chilli powder - 1½ tsp for medium spicy or 3 tsp for very spicy
  • Tandoori masala powder - 2 tsp (optional)
  • Orange food colouring - 1 pinch (optional)
    Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Yoghurt - 1 tblsp
  • Egg - 1
  • Salt - to taste

Method:
  1. Cut the Cauliflower into florets.
  2. Wash it and leave it in a bowl of hot water to make it cleaner for about 5 minutes.
  3. Combine all the ingredients listed for the marinade.
  4. Marinate the cauliflower florets with that marinade.
  5. Leave it for atleast 30 minutes.
  6. Deep fry them in oil until they are slightly crispier.
  7. Pat dry the oil and serve it.
Notes:
Serve it with tomato ketchup if it is served as a snack.
