Bombay Toast

Bombay Toast is an Indian way of making French toast.
Preparation Time : 5 mins

Cooking Time : 15-20 mins

Ingredients:
  • White Bread slices - 9
  • Eggs Medium - 2
  • Milk - 300ml
  • Sugar - 5 tblsp
  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp (optional)
  • Oil/Butter - for frying

Method:
  1. Whisk the egg well.
  2. Add sugar, vanilla essence and milk and beat well.
  3. Soak the bread slice in milk for about 10 seconds so that it is covered in milk on both the sides.
  4. Heat a shallow frying pan.
  5. Add about a tsp of oil/butter.
  6. Fry the bread slice two at a time on both sides until it becomes golden brown.
