Chilli Beef

Chilli Beef is a dish of frying the beef fillets in an Indo-Chinese style.
Preparation Time : 5 mins

Marination Time :1-2 hrs Soaking Time :

Cooking Time : 15-20 mins

Serves : 3-4

Ingredients:
  • Boneless beef fillets- 300g
  • Oil - 150ml for frying
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce - 4 tblsp
  • Corn flour - 4 tblsp
  • Vinegar - 1 tblsp
  • Pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • Green Chilli - 6-7
  • Spring onion - 1 for garnishing

Method:
  1. Cut Beef fillets into thin strips; Shred the chillies into tiny pieces.
  2. Combine soy sauce, pepper powder, vinegar, cornflour and 3/4 of chillies to make a marinade. Add litle water if the mixture is too thick.
  3. Marinate the beef strips in the marinade made for about 1-2 hours.
  4. Add litle water if the mixture is too thick. Deep fry the marinated beef strips in oil batch by batch and leave aside.
  5. Heat a shallow wide pan; Add 1 tsp of fried oil; Add rest of the chillies to the pan and fry for about a minute.
  6. Add the fried beef strips to the pan.
  7. Stir well; Garnish with chopped spring onion and serve.
