Toasted tuna sandwich

Toasted tuna sandwich can be made as a quick lunch with tinned tuna.
Preparation Time : 10 mins

Cooking Time : 10-15 mins

Ingredients:
  • Bread slices - 8
  • Cooked & Tinned tuna fillets drained- 225g
  • Red onion - 1/2 small
  • Green pepper (Capsicum) - 1/4 of medium
  • Cheddar cheese - 75g
  • Crushed pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Butter - 20g
  • Mayonnaise - 3 tblsp (optional)

Method:
  1. Drain the tuna fillets and keep in a bowl.
  2. Chop the onion and green pepper.
  3. Grate the cheese.
  4. Combine the tuna fillets, onion, green pepper, crushed pepper and mayonnaise.
  5. Butter all the bread slices on both sides.
  6. Put the tuna mixture on a slice and spread it.
  7. Add the grated cheese on top and cover it with another slice of bread.
  8. Toast them in a sandwich toaster for about 3-4 minutes.
  9. Do the above 3 steps for all the sandwiches.
Notes:
