Broccoli & Mushroom StirFry

Good and delicious way of cooking broccoli without loosing the nutrition.

Ingredients :

 

  • Broccoli - 1 small
  • Mushroom - 200g
  • Garlic - 2 medium size cloves
  • Dried Red Chilli - 1 or 2 - break it into 3-4 pieces
  • Onion cut - 1 tblsp (optional)
  • Soy sauce or Oyster sauce - 1 tblsp
  • Oil - 2-3 tsp
  • Hot water - as required


Method :
  1. Wash the vegetables.
  2. Cut broccoli into small florets.
  3. Chop each mushroom into 4 pieces. Chop the onions coarsely if you are adding onions.
  4. Leave broccoli separately in a pan. Pour hot water over broccoli and leave for 2-3 mins. Drain the water.
  5. Heat a pan on the stove on a medium-high heat and add oil.
  6. When the oil is hot enough, add red chilli, garlic and onion. Fry for a minute .
  7. Add broccoli and mushroom. Fry for 2-3 mins.
  8. Add soy sauce. Cover and cook for only 2-3 mins on a medium heat. Make sure that broccoli doesn't get overcooked. Switch off; If you are adding oyster sauce, add it after switching off the stove and stir well.
  9. Serve them in a serving dish when it is ready.

Notes : Suitable for rice and Lamb stew, Chicken Curry or Stir Fried Noodles.
