Raitha is a sauce made of yoghurt and cucumber/carrot/onion/tomato made as a side-dish for any Indian food like Biriyanis.

Ingredients :

 

  • Curd (yoghurt) - 500g
  • Cucumber - 1/2 medium or Carrot/Onion - 1 medium or Tomato - 3 small
  • Green chilli - 1 (optional)
  • Coriander leaves chopped - 2 tsp (optional)
  • Lemon juice/Mint sauce - 1 tsp (optional)
  • Salt - to taste


Method :
  1. Grate the cucumber/carrot or chop the onion/tomato finely; Chop the chilli if it is being added.
  2. Combine all the yoghurt, salt, mint sauce/lemon juice, chilli and the grated vegetable.
  3. Serve in a serving bowl.
