Ingredients :


  • Wheat flour - 125g
  • Egg Medium - 1
  • Coconut milk/Cow milk - 2 tblsp
  • Sugar - 4 tblsp
  • Sodium bicarbonate - a pinch
  • Vanilla essence- 1 tsp
  • Oil - 200-225ml for deep frying
  • Water - as required

Method :
  1. Whisk the egg well.
  2. Sift the flour.
  3. Add wheat flour, sugar, sodium bicarbonate, vanilla essence and milk to the whisked egg; Mix well.
  4. Add water if the batter is too thick.
  5. Leave the batter aside for about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Take about 1 tablespoon of batter, drop it in the oil as a ball and fry it in the oil until it becomes golden brown.
  7. Repeat the above step to fry 4-5 cake balls at a time.
  8. Repeat the above 2 steps until all the batter is finished.
